Yes, I know. It has been very hot here and I have not been pleased about it. Yes, there is a good chance that the only people who spend summers in Arizona are those who are training to work on the surface of the sun. And, yes, my car did tell me that it was 121 in the parking lot of IKEA on July 4th. But today, with forecasters calling for highs just over 100, I would like to take a moment to celebrate my current favorite thing about summer - now that I no longer get those 3 months off. Would you look at that fruit bowl? Plums and nectarines and peaches and grapes and canteloupe and watermelon and EVERYTHING gets ripe in the summer. Life is sweet, my friends. Enjoy!

Ahhhh, summer!
