Just a quick note tonight. I wrote a rather long post about a current work dilemma, but at the moment, I'm not even willing to re-read it - much less foist it on you! So, instead, I'll take care of some small bits of business.
1. AD says that I use a lot of exclamation marks. She pointed out that Terry Pratchett is quoted as saying this indicates a diseased mind. Coming from her, that is probably a compliment. (Take care of you, punkin!)
2. Ommi, I give you the fruit picker. I could tell you couldn't picture it when I explained it. You can see how this would be a useful tool for an average height woman (5'4) dealing with an average height grapefruit tree (12'-15'). It is the coolest! It made me very happy. HTH was vastly amused that I was so happy with a $10 tool from the hardware store.
3. To understand a little about my blogging conditions, you have to meet Gus (formerly Gandelf, but renamed after a Tragically Hip song about a polar bear). He has been shooed off the desk or forced to lie down so that I can see over him at least once for every blog post. The 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper there is for scale. He is big, and he really believes that he owns every desk in the house.
MawMaw, this shows the ugly carpet in the office that we plan to replace during project after next. At least you've seen something in my house now!

What an INGENIOUS tool! And no, Gus' size doesn't really show - old chubbs that he is.
