Based on Ommi's wise suggestion, I added a countdown clock on my blog. It counts down to the end of my last full time day in the timezone upon which I base my work day. It did not escape me that the clock, today, shows the total time at 40 days.
Of course, I'm sure that it is pure coincidence that I happened to post a countdown clock on the only day that it would give me such a weighted number. But it is interesting to know that today is the beginning of a time period that has shown up as significant everywhere from Ancient Egyptian burial rituals and the story of Buddha to the myriad mentions in the Bible. All of that background resonates in me with the sense of this time as a test/trial/"hang on through this and you will get somewhere" period.
And it isn't like this will even be all that difficult. I just have to juggle 3 major projects (one for each of the jobs I'm currently covering), 4 BBs, and any of the issues with their 12-15 projects. If isn't like I have to fast in the desert or be stuffed with natron this whole time! Viewed logically, and despite my overactive sense of impending drama, I could probably do this 40 days standing on my head!

Oh the significance of it all! And yes, you can do this while dancing a jig, hosting extra sons, and helping run another business! But congrats on the time left!
As running water follows natures path to reach its destination; it is still just one drop cascading over the previous that leads the way. Too many tear drops have you spilled into this? Now connected, the stream will lose way to a river and with that the power to wash away obstacles that you once bent around, long ago. 40 days and 40 nights wash away many much bad things a long time ago, can history repeat its self?
One thing is true I will always be there for you, That I can control and so it will be done. For all the rest, let's wait and see.
So its 28 work days but 40 proper days? Or did you just say hey yeah add on 12 days its not like I have anything better to do?
And how is the lavender? Mine is suuupergreen after a winter of being grey, so I am expecting tons of flowers soon... And also, my rose on the back that you helped me shore up is almost all light yellow lovely scented flowers. And each time I smell and see it I think of us in the rain... :-)
26 work days, but 37 days total right now. Not including the weekends accounts for the difference.
